Despite the lack of research into sexual violence undertaken in New Zealand, Auckland Sexual Abuse HELP has maintained research as a central part of its concerns.
Most recently, research staff employed by Auckland Sexual Abuse HELP produced a report outlining prevention strategies for sexual violence in the Auckland area.
Permanent staff, when time allows, pursue their own research interests and present papers pertaining to sexual violence. Recently, some staff presented a paper on Drug Rape – a growing and disturbing trend around the world.
Both of these research documents can be found by clicking on the Research by HELP staff link on the right hand side of this page. Any current projects will also be listed in this section.
Links to other research undertaken in New Zealand can be found in the New Zealand Sexual Violence Research section. This section also contains useful information for students.
Links to overseas research can be found in the Sexual Violence and Prevention section of this site
